Ron, Julian of Norwich, the famous anchoress, used to refer to “Jesus our mother” in her revelations. The Hebrew word for “womb” is used often in talking about God. God is actually beyond gender, but using the word “She” has a basis in Hebrew as well as inviting people to see God as Father AND Mother.
